Ed Moss, chief executive officer of Stephens Media LLC, Monday announced a new executive leadership team for the company and its flagship newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Ed Moss, chief executive officer of Stephens Media LLC, Monday announced a new executive leadership team for the company and its flagship newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Effective immediately, Moss named Ed Lasak, chief operating officer of Stephens Media and the Review-Journal and Mark Ficarra, chief revenue officer of Stephens Media and the Review-Journal. Mark Hinueber will remain as the company’s general counsel and director of Human Resources. All three officers will report to Moss. In addition, Moss becomes publisher of the Review-Journal in addition to his role as president and CEO of Stephens Media LLC. Bob Brown, former publisher of the newspaper has left the company.

All members of this team have been involved with innovative product development and driving improved revenue performance in both print and digital products. They are all industry leaders.”
Lasak most recently served as senior vice president of finance and director of publishing operations for the Press Enterprise Co. in Riverside, Calif., part of the A.H. Belo Corp. Prior to that, he held senior executive positions at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and several Tribune Company newspapers. He is a licensed CPA. Lasak will oversee daily publishing activities at the Review-Journal as well as the other Stephens Media properties throughout the country.
Ficarra most recently served as regional vice president of sales and marketing for the Denver Post as well as 26 other newspapers for Digital First Media in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. Prior to that, he held the position of vice president sales and marketing for the San Diego Union-Tribune. Ficarra will oversee all revenue and marketing activities at the Review-Journal as well as the other Stephens Media properties throughout the country.
Hinueber has been with Stephens Media since 1994. He is a member of the Nevada, Arkansas, California and Illinois bars.
Stephens Media publishes 11 daily newspapers, 64 weekly newspapers and more than 100 websites operating in nine states, including West Hawaii Today, Hawaii Tribune-Herald, North Hawaii News and Big Island Weekly.
